To all reenactors:
I want to thank everyone who has contacted us so far showing interest in helping with our current production "Johnny". We still need many more reenactors to help out on various scenes, especially the weekend in August when we will be filming the Chickamauga battle scenes.
An information packet contacting everything you will need to know about the film and what is needed as well as a sign-up sheet is ready to be mailed. If you would like to receive on of these packets, please send us your name and address to the email address listed on the website and we will get one out to you right away. Unit commanders please contact us and we'll be happy to send multiple copies to your unit for consideration.
Thanks again and with your support and the support of the reenacting community we will be be able to create the accurate and visually exciting telling of this story ever.

To all reenactors:
I just wanted to confirm to everyone that filming will be taking place on JULY 9th,2006 at the Heritage Village Museum in Sharonville, Ohio. All impressions are needed this day, including Civilians both Men and especially Women, and Union military, both Officers and Enlisted.
Below is a breakdown listing the scenes to be filmed and the impressions needed for each. Please be aware that times are provisional and may overrun due to filming delays and retakes, however we ask that all reenactors be there as early as possible to help out with our makeup and costume departments in preparation.
8am - Scene 80: EXT. CAMP CHASE HEADQUARTERS - DAY
All Union military soldiers of any rank. To be filmed outside the Hayner House (Village Offices) on the steps. We need about 5-10 reenactors for this scene.
9am - Scene 82: EXT. TOWN - DAY
All female Reenactors, 5 or more reenactors are needed for this scene, to take place in front of the Mercantile Museum Store
10am - Scene 27: INT. TRAIN STATION - DAY
All Civilian Reenactors, both male and female, are needed. At least 5 or more, any age. To be filmed both inside and outside the Chester Park Train Station.
Noon - Scene 77: INT. GENERAL THOMAS' HQ - DAY
All Union Military Reenactors, both Enlisted and Officers of any rank. At least 10. To be filmed both inside and outside the Vorhes House.
2pm - Scene 20: EXT. RECRUITING OFFICE - DAY
We need mostly male Civilian Reenactors for this, plus a couple of Privates and Officers. Any Civilians who also have Military Private impressions would work best, as they can be seen on screen both as a civilian and after they have been enlisted in uniform for the next scene.
3pm - Scene 21: INT. RECRUITING OFFICE - DAY
Same as above. We will be using the same reenactors from Scene 20 for this one. Plenty of time to be seen on screen within these two scenes.
I want to also state that any reenactor who wishes to take place in the filming but have not received or sent in a sign-up sheet. please come along and join in. We need as many as we can get and everyone will be used and seen on screen. The more the merrier, and the better the scenes! We will also be providing food and drink for everyone participating in the filming.
Upon arrival, please follow the signs to the registration pavillion and follow the instructions of the staff who are there to answer any questions and help you to where you will be needed.
We look forward to seeing all of you this weekend for a great time!

I just want to add a quick incredible thank you to all the reenactors that showed up for our July 9 shoot in Sharon Woods Heritage Village. Everyone was very well dressed as well as very helpful in the scenes that we accomplished. I have reviewed some of the dailies and I am very excited at what we captured. This was indeed the best shoot we have had to date. I just wanted to say that everyone's hard work on Sunday was very much appreciated and from the bottom of my heart I thank each of you for coming out and helping us make this project come to life. Without the passion of you reenactors filmmakers like us would be out of a job. From one reenactor to the next, Thanks.
Sincerely,
R. David Burns

To all reenactors,
I also want to thank each and every one of you that showed up for our July 9th filming at Sharon Woods. It is with that type of dedication for the hobby and for the Civil War in general that will make this project the best it can be. I am anxiously waiting to see the completed scenes on screen, as I sure you are as well.
I wanted to inform everyone that within the next week I will be posting on this forum information about the upcoming filming dates on August 18-20 where we will be recreating the battle of Chickamauga on screen. We need as many Union and Confederate reenactors as we can get, and anyone interested in helping out for one or all of these days please email us at the address listed on the home page with your name, snail mail address, and type of protrayal you have and we will get you detailed information mailed to you. We are also calling out to any artillery, cavalry, and medical impressions.
We are also in need of behind the scenes helpers for this weekend as well. Anyone with pyrotechnic knowledge and ability who is wishing to help out on this weekend with special effects please contact me personally at hispro@peoplepc.com explaining your skill and a detailed description of what you are able to do.
Once again, great work and thank you for everything you have done to help with our film. I look forward to seeing everyone again this August.

To all reenactors,
Historical Productions will be present at this years Reenactment of First Bull Run taking place in Middletown, Virginia on the Cedar Creek National Battlefield on July 21-23. We will be filming various scenes there as well as getting as much of the battle on film as possible.
Any reenactment units that will be attending who would be willing to assist us with the filming of these scenes please contact us with your interest. We would like to find one relatively large group to help us there with marching scenes as well as a few various camp scenes.
Thanks again and we hope to see everyone at the reenactment!
